Meet Amy Krauss
Amy Krauss, JD, district parent, experienced Governing Board member, dedicated school volunteer
I am running for re-election to the Catalina Foothills Governing Board. I am not a politician. I am an attorney with an active law practice, with a focus on criminal appeals. In my career, I have served as both a public defender and a federal prosecutor. These positions have taught me, more than anything, that honesty and integrity can never be compromised.
I am also a mom who started volunteering in both of my sons' classrooms in Manzanita Elementary nearly 20 years ago. Seeing our incredibly talented and dedicated teachers inspired me to become even more involved in the classroom, FFO leadership, and Grad Night. And this ultimately led to me to run for Governing Board two terms ago.
I am seeking re-election so that I can continue to build on CFSD's solid foundation of educational excellence. My guiding philosophy is to ensure that every student in our district has access to rigorous and robust academics, as well as to a wide range of extracurricular activities so they can achieve their personal goals and become productive citizens.

As an elected, non-partisan member of CFSD's Governing Board, I will work closely with my colleagues on the Board, the administration and teachers, and parents and community members to deliver on my commitment to you.
Put students first by providing the best education possible
Our most important responsibility is to serve CFSD's children by providing the best education possible with the resources that are available
Attract and retain high-quality educators
Prioritize investing in our teachers and providing the resources they need, understanding they have the most direct impact on student achievement
Promote students' social and emotional well-being
Invest in school counselors and a proactive counseling curriculum to promote students' social and emotional development
I'm proud of the many contributions I've made to our CFSD schools
Over the past 20 years, my willingness to step up and show up for our children, teachers, and community has made a substantive, positive difference.
